This site looks at the study on desertification in Texas that was done by the USGS, the Museum of Texas Tech University, and the University of Wisconsin. This is only a small portion of the larger site which is concerned with many conservation issues.

Make a difference!! Great cost-free environmental awareness project. Students decorate paper grocery bags with environmental messages and then stores distribute them on Earth Day. Pictures and reports are then posted on the web site.
