Nest Watch
Are there any bird houses or nests near your school, in nearby parks, or backyards? This project from the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology uses volunteers to monitor nests to observe the behaviors of birds in and around their nests. Even if you can't be a monitor, this site has information, photographs, and data from the project that you can access and use. You can even peek inside the nests of owls, wood ducks, bluebirds, and other species with the "NestCam" option.
